A few years ago, I started a nightly journaling habit with this one prompt:
What are 3 things that brought you joy today?
I journaled every day for a year, and at the end of the year I went back and took stock of what truly brings joy to my life, so moving forward I could be sure I prioritized those things.
You don’t have to journal every day for a year, I suggest starting with just one week… give it a try and let me know how it goes!
You could think about this prompt in terms of: 1 thing in sport, 1 in work, and 1 in life.
(Things can mean a person, place, event, action etc … anything!)
